The Integrity Challenge: A 5-Day Family Character Activity
Five short daily missions that help children practice telling the truth and keeping their word — even when no one is watching.
Grades 1–5 · 10 minutes a day · Free printable by THEO Homeschool
The THEO approach: Character is not a subject to finish; it is practiced in small, daily choices. THEO pairs each virtue with Scripture and a real-life action.
Anchor verse
“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely.” — Proverbs 10:9
Integrity means being the same person on the inside and the outside: what you say matches what you do.
Five daily missions
| Day | Mission | Talk about it |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Keep one small promise you make today (e.g. 'I'll put my shoes away'). | How did it feel to keep your word? |
| 2 | Tell the whole truth about something, even if it is a little embarrassing. | Why is part of the truth sometimes not enough? |
| 3 | Do a chore well when no one is checking. | Who sees what we do in secret? (Matthew 6:4) |
| 4 | Return or fix something that isn't right — a borrowed item, a broken toy, a mistake. | What does making it right look like? |
| 5 | Notice someone else showing integrity and thank them. | Where did you see integrity this week? |
Parent tips
- Younger children (Grades 1–2): act out each mission together first.
- Older children (Grades 3–5): have them choose their own promise and report back at dinner.
- Model it. Share one of your own integrity moments each day — including a time you got it wrong.
My integrity moment this week
Students draw a picture or write a sentence about a time they chose integrity.
